Writing & posting
Reply to a post with Responses
Paste a post link and draft your reply or comment. Schedule it at the next premium spot, post it now, or open it in the full editor.
Draft a response
- Open Responses from the top navigation.
- Under Network, choose LinkedIn or X (LinkedIn is selected by default).
- Paste the post's link into Post URL — for X, a link containing
/status/…; for LinkedIn, use Share → Copy link to post. - Write your reply or comment in Your response.
Send it
Once your response is drafted, choose how to send it:
- Schedule at next premium spot — creates the response and slots it automatically into the next open premium time in your posting queue.
- Post now — creates the response and posts it immediately.
- Open in editor — creates the response as a draft and opens it in the full editor, so you can revise it before scheduling or posting.
Click Cancel to leave without creating anything.
For Schedule at next premium spot, you'll see a confirmation naming the time it landed on before Feedjot opens the editor. For Post now, you'll see a "Posted." confirmation with a link to the live reply or comment.
X replies to strangers usually fail
X only allows an automated reply when the account you're replying to has already @mentioned you, or when you authored the original post — this is X's own API policy, not a Feedjot bug. If you reply to an account that hasn't interacted with you, the reply fails at send time, whether you scheduled it or clicked Post now. Feedjot shows a clear error along with a one-click link to open X in your browser and post the reply yourself.
LinkedIn comments aren't affected by this restriction — Feedjot posts them through LinkedIn's API normally regardless of whether you've interacted with that account before. If you comment on strangers' posts often, prefer LinkedIn for that in Feedjot.
