Connecting accounts

Reconnect an account that shows "disconnected"

When X or LinkedIn shows "disconnected" or asks you to reauthorize, open Settings and reconnect. Your scheduled posts are held until you do — they are not lost or failed.

Quick answer

Go to Settings, find the account that needs attention, and click Reconnect X account or Reconnect LinkedIn. Anything you had scheduled is held while the connection is broken and goes out once you reconnect.

Why this happens

A connection can expire when X or LinkedIn revokes Feedjot's access — for example, if you changed your password on that network, removed Feedjot from your authorized apps, or the network invalidated the token. Feedjot normally refreshes access on its own, so reconnecting is only needed when that refresh can no longer succeed.

Reconnect

  1. Open Settings. The affected account shows Connection expired — reconnect now.
  2. Click Reconnect X account (or Reconnect LinkedIn).
  3. Authorize Feedjot again on X or LinkedIn. You are returned to Feedjot when it is done.

The dashboard also shows a reconnect banner when an account needs attention, so you can start the same flow from there.

You'll know it worked when…

Settings shows Connected as your account again with a Disconnect button, and the reconnect banner is gone.

What happens to posts scheduled during the outage

Your scheduled posts are held, not failed, for the whole time the connection is broken. Once you reconnect, Feedjot releases the held posts. How past-due posts are spaced is controlled by Settings → Auto-scheduling → After reconnect (past-due posts): the default spreads them into your next free slots, and the alternative posts them as soon as possible in schedule order.
