Writing & posting
Set up a repeating post with Evergreen
Evergreen posts repeat automatically on a cadence — daily, weekly, or monthly. Useful for tips, FAQs, and promos you want to resurface on a schedule.
Create an evergreen
- Open Evergreen from the top navigation.
- Click + New evergreen (or Create your first if you don't have any yet).
- Optional: give it a Title — this is for your reference only.
- Under Network, choose X or LinkedIn.
- Write your post text. Click + Add post to add another post to the same evergreen — each card is one post in the repeating thread, posted in that order every time it fires.
- Add media to any post: click + Image to upload one, or + GIF to search Giphy and insert one.
- Optional: click + Add ad to attach a promo ad — one image plus a link — that rotates into the last post each time the evergreen fires. You can add up to 10.
- Under Cadence, enter a number and choose days, weeks, or months.
- Set First fire — the date and time of the first post. Later posts repeat on the same cadence from that point.
- Click Save.
You'll know it worked when…
The new evergreen appears in your list with the cadence you set and an Active status badge, and the Using N of 100 evergreen slots count at the top goes up by one.
Manage an evergreen
Each evergreen in your list gives you:
- Edit — change its posts, ads, cadence, or first-fire time.
- Pause / Resume — stop or restart it firing without deleting it.
- Run history — see when it last fired and the result of each run.
- Delete — remove it. Run history is preserved, but it stops firing.
Times are fixed to the instant you set, so a daily or weekly evergreen can shift by an hour on your clock when daylight saving time changes.
Why an evergreen might pause itself
Feedjot pauses an evergreen automatically in a few cases, and names the reason on its status badge:
- Your subscription lapsed — it resumes when you resubscribe.
- Your X or LinkedIn account disconnected — reconnect it, then click Resume.
- Too many fires in a row failed — check the content, then click Resume.
- Its schedule fell too far behind to catch up — edit the next fire time, then click Resume.
- It grew too large — too many posts or too long a title — shorten it, then click Resume.
